Our Story
Growing up in a lively Greek household, there was always something delicious simmering in the kitchen. My mother’s cooking brought everyone together, and little did she know, her simple homemade salad dressing would one day make its way to dinner tables across the country.
As I started a family of my own, I kept her beloved recipe alive, using it not just on salads, but as a marinade for meats and vegetables. It quickly became a staple in our home. Every time I entertained, friends would rave about it and ask to take a bottle home - sometimes more than one!
By 1996, I realized we had something truly special. What started as holiday gifts for friends, family, and coworkers soon turned into growing demand. In 1998, I began collecting and upcycling wine bottles to share what is now known as Kara’s Greek Marinade & Dressing.
In 2021, my daughter and I turned this beloved family recipe into a business: Kara’s Greek. What began as a simple dressing has grown into a full line of flavorful marinades and Greek seasonings, now sold online and in over 25 retail shops! We’re so excited for what’s ahead and grateful to share a taste of Greece with more families every day.
